I eventually requested an exchange after they couldn't send someone on-site and said to send it in, and it then was going to be upwards of a month or more to wait for parts. I had problems early on with my own first R11, but hardware diagnostics indicated it as a likely issue with the front panel assembly (which includes the power button and daughterboard that I think handles all the RGB lighting stuff). So you may have problems if you ran updates before they pulled it. (You may also need to do F12 so it boots from the USB stick.) You can download a Windows recovery ISO specific for your computer from Dell, but I'm not sure what extra it can do.īeyond that, they pulled the recent 1.02 BIOS because it was frying some people's machines. If there are no reported hardware issues, I'd try to boot from a USB stick with Windows on it, and try a repair or fresh install. If you keep tapping F12 when booting, you hopefully can get to the boot options where you can run hardware diagnostics, to see if that's reporting any hardware issues.
